We've brought technology and wholesale transaction together to build scalability in Wholesale business for approx. $300bn large industry. The Wydr mobile app has redefined how the wholesale business is done in India.

We’re focused on improving the wholesale business landscape while contributing to social and economic growth. The product team at Wydr works closely with cross-functional teams such as engineering, quality assurance, user experience, customer support, operations and business development. Product managers act as a bridge between these teams and will guide product development from conception to launch.

Responsibilities

Product Strategy: Define Wydr App/Web roadmap and long-term strategy for supply products. Continually assess the needs of Sellers and Buyers, market trends, competitive opportunities and threats in defining and evolving the product strategy.

Roadmap Planning: Manage a cross-functional process to translate the desired customer (buyer or seller) experience into a logically sequenced and optimized product roadmap and major product releases. Create buy-in for the product roadmap with internal and external stakeholders.

User Experience and Requirements Definition: Develop high quality PRD’s and effectively prioritize and manage the scope of each product launch to deliver key capabilities on time.

Product Rollout: Create and execute go-to-market plans for new products and features. Work closely with engineering and program management team to develop product(s) and go-to-market teams (city and category teams) to drive adoption.

Measure Results: Define and monitor key performance metrics to ensure product performance, and continually optimize operational efficiencies including cost reduction efforts.
Be comfortable with hands-on day-to-day problem solving, implementing quick and effective action plans to meet short/mid/long term priorities
Conduct detailed research towards requirements definition and use creative techniques (such as user stories, UI mockups, jobs to be done) to document in sufficient level of detail.

Key Skills

The product management role in Wydr is both strategical and tactical role. The product manager will be someone who will strategize to influence dramatic change in the current processes with technology and at the same time will be hands-on and lead tactical product management responsibilities.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to connect and work with people across different levels within an organization, right from operational teams on the ground to the executive management.
  • Mobile App & Consumer facing product experience would be helpful
  • Experience in Scrum or any other agile methodologies would be a plus
  • Constantly looks out for innovation and improvements to the existing processes and products and has proven past of establishing process and methods to achieve goals.
  • Strong analytics and decision making skills, metric-driven and ability to motivate and maximize productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Candidate Background

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering (preferably Computer Science) or management from premier institutes preferred.
  • PM: Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT/software industry with at least 2 years of experience in Product.
  • Knowledge and experience in dealing with cross platform mobile applications.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering high quality technology products/services in a very high growth environment where priorities shift rapidly.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities
  • Background in technology is an added advantage. Understanding technology from scalability and problem solving perspective is a must.
